Blue Ridge Nature Crafts
Cindy and Mike Ryan's shop is next to the old Trading Post at Mayberry.  Besides a large selection of their own handcrafted gemstone jewelry, they carry the best assortment of crafted items in the area, all made in the Blue Ridge.  You will also find unusual antiques and even old coins.  This is a great place to browse when you stop for a snack at the Trading Post or to check out the apple butter making.

A few of the treasures created by Mike and Cindy...

Amazonite from
Amelia County, VA
Leopard Jasper Rose Quartz, common
throughout the region
Snowflake Obsidian Unakite collected by Mike at
Bent Mountain near Roanoke
Sodalite

You never know what you may find in this eclectic shop.  There are oddities for the rock hound, geode creations from around the world, collectible coins, homespun items from around our area...
You will find the largest assortment of locally made crafts in the area:  toys and games, quilted  items, crocheted doilies, bird houses and feeders, Christmas decor, poultry art and ornaments.
Here is Cindy herself, on a fall afternoon.  When she is not looking after customers , she is most often found hard at work creating gemstone and beaded jewelry.  The store is open from early April through late fall, until the weather stops  co-operating.
